Here's who I am! THE GOSSIP COLUMNIST
IT'S HARD TO GET A BLOG NOTICED, WITHIN BILLIONS OF BLOGS.
It is even harder to get a book published without an agent and being unsolicited.
I DECIDED TO PUT MY MANUSCRIPT UP THEIR WITH "LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS" BECAUSE MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LOT LIKE DIAMONDS TOO-smile. Well, Diamonds in the rough.
I was once noted as being the most "Outrageous" Gossip columnist ever- "Movie Gossip for Adults." I published the HOLLYWOOD STAR newspaper. Although it was mostly read in California, it was quite popular. I was interviewed by Ann McDermott on CNN, And even Los Angeles Magazine did several pages on myself and the paper. I was interviewed by Harriet Choice of the Chicago Tribune. That story went over the wire services to many other newspapers which re-printed her story.
I did radio interviews around the world, and one story made headlines overseas. Another story made headlines in the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner. The Globe and National Enquirer, gave me mention as well as Liz Smith, Bob Osbourne when he was with the Hollywood Reporter, and Variety's, Army Archerd. Well, Larry Flynt even named me his "asshole of the month." And no, it wasn't me who shot him.
I had the James Dean Memorial Foundation in Hollywood. I was sued by the Curtis Licensing Company. I could have won, but it was costing me thousands of dollars in court. I wanted to build a statue of Dean in Hollywood. With "their" millions made off of licensing James Dean's name and image, they should build a memorial instead of installing elevators in their home with the millions they have made from licensing. Jimmy is rolling in his grave over that. Mayor Tom Bradley declared September 30th as James Dean Day in Los Angeles. I was proud of that. I give my "Candle Up The Ass" award to the Curtis Licensing company.
I also had a second publication named GAYBOY. You can imagine what that tabloid was. It started an avalanche of copy cat tabloids that exist today.
I moved back to Lima, Ohio, one of the two cities I was raised in. Flint, Michigan is the other. That was, at one-time, the best city in the country to grow up in. I worked for a theater chain there as well in Hollywood, being hired at the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater and later the "open all night" Hollywood Theater, now the Guinness Book Of Records.
At that time I met, and worked for actor, Nick Adams, known mostly as Johnny Yuma in THE REBEL TV series. I was his secretary and he was my best friend. I miss him yet today.
Well, if you are interested in my manuscript it starts at the end of this blog. Just move the-gossip-columnist, whatever, to the search engine and then Go. Each blog has the following chapter listed in chronological order, at the bottom of each blog.
